"Oh look, there's one orange [alien] all the way back there. D'ya reckon I got any chance of hitting it? ...I DID IT, I GOT IT FIRST SHOT! ...How good am I?" |
— Stampy when he shoots a distant alien successfully in Pew Pew Shooting Range. |
"Zombies, Aliens And Evil Slugs" is the 58th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy hosts a tournament of his shooting range dubbed the "Pew Pew Shooting Range", and then begins building a duck-flinging sideshow mini-game.
Plot[]
Something pretty to see & Mr. Spider[]
Stampy opens the episode, and questions why he always points out that he is present in Stampy's Lovely World since it's obvious, and if there are people who don't, they do now upon seeing it during the introduction. Stampy looks at the mountain in front of him and considers making the view prettier, adding that he always comes out onto his balcony to a particular style of landscape only to turn around and be alerted by the presence of xX RyAnN CfC Xx, L for Leeeee x and bubbachub5 behind him, and he introduces them consecutively. Stampy clarifies why he always looks to the left upon entering his balcony since that side of the balcony looks appealing, and doesn't look to his right because it isn't. Stampy considers adding a rainbow over the horizon, and he considers doing something with the mountain in front of him. However, because he has his first shelter on that same mountain, Stampy considers removing the entire mountain as a museum of some form, and offers his viewers to give him suggestions, though it doesn't have to be a building. Stampy makes it a competition, and whoevever gives him the best suggestion will add that person to the Love Garden, though he doesn't need it in the present video, and will wait until there is something "really good".
In reference to the Love Garden, Stampy refers to how it is time for him to visit it, only to see a spider loitering. He sees the spider and tells it that it isn't going to be added to the Love Garden, and that it comes down every morning to check if it is added to the Love Garden. Due to its blatant desperation, Stampy decides to add the spider to the Love Garden in the video, adding "Mr. Spider" as the name, and gives the characterisation of its screeching as it being happy about being added to the Love Garden, though he considers adding it on a lower level. Stampy then moves onto the person he is actually adding to the Love Garden, adding "ZIPFOX". The reason for this is because his dad messaged him "Stampy, my son Oliver was inspired to create a fun park after watching your videos. Here's a short video of the Power Park he made. Fred the enderman sure does seem to be enjoying himself", Stampy noticing a creeper at the side of his Love Garden. Stampy describes the video was basically him playing Minecraft and touring his theme park that looks similar to Stampy's Funland, and it looked "awesome". At the end of the video, his dad pans across to Oliver, and Oliver can be seen grinning as he tells his dad to stop filming him, which made him laugh. Additionally, he likes how he can get messages from families that can watch his videos, and that a parent and a son can watch his videos together. Stampy clarifies that Charlie Fox had sent the message, and it was for Oliver, whose usename is ZIPFOX. Stampy thanks him for watching his videos, and wishes him luck for his fun park.
Returning back inside to his house to visit the doghouse, Stampy decides to leave a link to the video in the description so his present viewers can see the fun park. Stampy explains the rules of the Love Garden in that it's somewhere he adds someone for his a reason, which is usually because of a comment, but also a Facebook message, video, or picture. Essentially, it's anytime he wants to give someone a shoutout. Being indecisive due to his many choices, Stampy decides to take Oreo with him due to not having him for a while, and jokingly decides who is Oreo on the basis of them having four legs. Leaving the doghouse via the main entrance to use his minecart to travel over, Stampy describes the subject of the video in that he will be building a "duck chicken game thing", which will serve as a two-player sideshow game. and he hopes that it will be awesome. He will also show the final product of the shooting range that he was building in the previous video, since he hadn't made much progress and completed it with the help of shooting range. Stampy suddenly exclaims while riding over in that he had almost dropped his controller, and clarifies why in that he is trying to take his jumper off due to the temperature of his room. With a newly updated path and stopping station, Stampy also warns his viewers that there is going to be noise throughout the video due to there being some plumbing work in his house and there will be the occasional loud noise emitting from a machine.
Changes to Stampy's Funland entry & a finished shooting range[]
Stampy notes the changes to the area, having removed the cobblestone and stone hut, and plans to build some form of entrance gate around the beginning area of the crazy golf course, or otherwise a minecart station that improves the appearance. Due to not knowing how to do that yet, he has decided to use two stone brick blocks instead, and gives perspective to his Creeper Coaster, having ridden it in the previous video. Stampy also shows a fountain that he had built by the shooting range, having made the decision to add random features around the area since he has fake trees. Stampy also points out the paths, wanting to build more on said path. Regardless, Stampy knows his viewers want to look at the shooting range, which he has entitled the "Pew Pew Shooting Range". Stampy walks inside to show what it has been updated into, and gathers the necessary resources of a bow and a stack of arrows as he describes that it is essentially a shooting range, though he described the mechanics in the previous video:
- If a player shoots a zombie, the player receives two points;
- If a player shoots an alien, the player receives one points;
- If a player shoots an evil slug/snail, represented by minecarts and minecrarts with chests respectively, the player receives three points;
- If a player shoots an animal, the player receives negative one point.
For example, if the player hits a nearby penguin, turtle, moose or unicorn, they will lose a point. Before playing, Stampy decides to show the game's finished design in detail, showing a nearby alien, highlighting that they use two-block size paintings and are therefore easier to hit, and also shows a zombie that uses one-block size paintings and are therefore more difficult to reach. Stampy sees that people are playing the shooting range already, and he demands him not to start as he will have to replace the paintings. Stampy points out the presence of a pig in the minecart surrounding the unicorn, highlighting that real animals being hit earns the same point count. Stampy is greatly annoyed by people starting to shoot immediately as they aren't supposed to start due to the presence of a timer, and then sees a pig in the minecart surrounding a fire, sympathising with it and pointing out that it's close to the fire. Stampy also shows a UFO that he and L for Leeeee x built, though he doesn't consider it to be well done as he isn't experinced with building spheres. Stampy refines the shape of the UFO's underneath as he points out that he had to rebuild it due to it burning down multiple times, and had the shape incorrect upon rebuilding. Stampy also shows a graveyard in front of a church left of the UFO, which is the origin point of the zombies. Sudenly, Stampy sees Oreo trapped in the minecart surrounding the unicorn. He laughs at this at first due to the comical value, and then desperately orders that he is released from the minecart as he is getting hurt by collision with the unicorn, though Stampy doesn't realise this. Stampy releases Oreo from the minecart, and bubbachub5 then sets off the minecart again. Stampy shows the pit nearby the UFO, showing it to be a pit to Hell, which is where the evil slugs and snails originated from. Stampy also named the gravestones, listing:
- Bob Along;
- Ileane Sideways;
- Ben Dover;
- Justin Time;
- Walter Melon;
- Sid Down;
- Phil Degrave, which he thought was a fitting pun.
Stampy then shows the interior of the church he built for the final gravestone, showing it to be "Stampys sense of humour" which he also thought was fitting.
Stampy decides to stop updating and play it instead, making it the first official game, though he has to count the points himself. He points out an issue of the game in that most of the paintings don't show up depending on distance, meaning another player has to stand closely to it in order to verify if it was knocked off. Stampy then shows a timer that is used for the game, which uses a minecart system combined with cobwebs, and by the time it returns, 1 minute 38 seconds will have passed, though he hadn't intended for that to be the time and simply couldn't bother to change it.
Playing on the shooting range[]
Stampy finally decides to start playing on the shooting range, curious as to how many points he can receive within the time period. Stampy starts off by shooting a zombie in front of him successfully, receiving one point, and then hits two aliens, receiving two additional points, as well as a zombie hiding behind the main entrance building, receiving two points. He also hits a zombie behind the turtle successfully, receiving another two, and then hits three aliens, receiving three points. Stampy wonders if he can hit a zombie distantly, and then gets hurt by something behind him, finding it to be xX RyAnN CfC Xx shooting an arrow at him. Oreo ends up attacking him and eventually rapidly killing him, also telling xX RyAnN CfC Xx to not hit his dog. Stampy realises that he is losing time and that he has lost track of his score, and decides to just hit the models due to other shooters already having knocked off the paintings. Stampy attempts to hit a zombie, and finds that he hasn't hit an evil slug or snail, accidentally hitting the turtle one of them surrounds, and hits it again. Stampy hits a zombie, receiving two points, and then a distant alien of orange, receiving one point, surprising him. Stampy checks the platform and finds all of xX RyAnN CfC Xx's remains for the minecart's position, and then finds it having turned the corner at the bottom, expecting it to appear on the other side and emit a ding upon making contact.
The minecart does so, and the timer stops. Stampy points out how he had the assistance of his friends to make shooting the targets easier, and then scavenges around the area to return the paintings to their original position. Stampy comments on the annoyance of how paintings requires players to pick up the signs again, and then finds that he had missed some of the paintings, surprising him. This is mostly because of the distance preventing the signs from being invisible, and finds that he made the shooting range too big, deciding it doesn't matter that he did anyway since it's still a fun experience. Stampy realises that he hasn't been picking up the paintings, expelling a random supply of wool, and then revises that he said in a previous episode that he wants the game to be interactive in some form and not just have visual appeal. Stampy decided he had fun playing on the shooting range, and then informs his helpers to sleep as it is night.
Reutrning back to the shelter, Stampy tells his helpers to stay alert of hostile mobs, and comments on the irony of how Stampy's Funland is for players in the day and hostile mobs at night. Due to a zombie Stampy hit, Oreo ends up attacking it, though he is hurt in the process, and he rapidly feeds Oreo to revive him. Stampy also sees Oreo quickly kill a skeleton, much to his admiraiton, and continues to his shelter again. Stampy enters inside and points out that he may not have the time to build what he had intended to, looking at the time, and decides to get as much done as he can before his time runs out. Stampy expels useless inventory contents into a chest on the top floor of the shelter so he doesn't have useless materials, and then begins to sleep, the game alerting him "You may not rest now, there are monsters nearby." due to the newest update. After killing a skeleton and jokingly killing a pig, Stampy tries to sleep, and is then alerted by a skeleton, wondering where the friendly creepers and mobs in general went to. Stampy wonders why his helpers are outside and demands them all to come to bed. The helpers and xX RyAnN CfC attempt to climb up together, and bubbachub5 ends up accidentally hitting Stampy, leading Oreo to kill her. Stampy notes that everything has gone wrong, and wonders where her last sleeping position is, hoping she doesn't come to the shelter without sleeping. He demands everyone to sleep, and then attempts to do so once again, only to find there are still hostile mobs nearby. Stampy wonders what xX RyAnN CfC Xx is doing outside, and sees that he has lagged out. Stampy returns back to the shelter's front entrance, and sees that a creeper ended up exploding Agatha's grave, an ironic situation. Stampy sympathises with her, and also complains about how it is additionally raining. Having given up, he demands everyone to simply sleep and deal with the situation in the morning. Stampy sees that the rest of the players have left the game together, and thinks that they decided to leave by choice to rejoin once it has become morning so he can sleep.
After Stampy sleeps by himself, the day resets and he invites everyone into the game again, noting that he may not complete what he had intended to build, seeing the time, and decides he should invite one person in so they can be led to invite everyone else in as the game is set to "Invite Only". He also hopes that everyone's stuff doesn't despawn, and points out the irony in him expelling his materials only to gather someone else's once he goes downstairs. Stampy decides to just leave his inventory supplies alone, and decides he should build his next game and leave all of his issues for another video.
Explaning & building the duck-flinging sideshow game[]
Stampy informs his viewers of the basic concept of his new game in that there will be a collection of ducks in two pools, and there will be a middle platform. The game will be 2v2, and one side has to pull ducks from one pool to the other, and the pool with the most ducks is the winner. With this, he also informs that animals can be pulled on with fishing rods, though it doesn't work well with sheep. However, if he was higher, he could pull it into the air. Stampy also tests it on a pig, and recommends the idea of sitting a player on a pig via saddle and pulling them around. Stampy also jokingly recommends using a fishing rod to walk a dog, though it hurts them slightly, and the player ends up with a lead for them to walk their dog around, which he finds funny. Stampy says that Oreo loves the experience of a fishing rod as a lead. He also recommends that the player can use the fishing rod to pull the entity towards them, and then he proceeds to feed Oreo porkchops.
Stampy decides he should start building, crafting some wooden planks, as he believes he should at least start to build it and will record another video directly afterwards. Stampy decides he should build it around the blank field opposite what he has already built, though he is unsure of whether to design it so it's "as it looks like", or as a massive duck, though he was considering the latter. Stampy decides to count in front the path's corner, and decides on a final starting corner, telling Oreo not to knock into him while working something out. Stampy decides to build it where he has decided for the sake of the duck, and starts building a 16-length block line randomly as he decides the main size. He also sees xX RyAnN CfC Xx trying to help him even thoug he hasn't decided on the design himself. At first, he decides to make the width of each pool 11 blocks long. Stampy suddenly decides he should change the size due to it possibly being too big, removing what he has built on the opposite joining end and condensing 16 blocks to 11 blocks, pointing out that he normally builds things by starting to build and working it out afterwards. Stampy sees L for Leeeee x attempting to help by misunderstanding the decided size Stampy wants the pool, commenting on how people don't know what he is trying to do and have to guess, which means everything takes longer. Deciding on the size of 11x9 with xX RyAnN CfC Xx helping him, Stampy remarks on a comment he saw previously about how the people who help him are his "slaves", which he finds to be funny, finding it a fitting comparison.
Completing the first pool ring, Stampy decides the middle area should be two blocks wide so there is a middle platform, and plans to add a tower above it where the player will stand, planning to also add a pool on the opposite side. Stampy sees the planned concept so far, deciding that it will work out fine. However, he is aware that he is running out of time in the video, remarking that what he has built so far is a pathetic amount. He was still having fun, however, and was playing on his shooting range and was showing what he had built in the previous video. Additionally, there were complications with creepers blowing things up and people lagging out, telling his viewers not to scold him for making no progress at all. He decides he should record another video immediately after that will be seen within the next few days, Stampy ending that he hopes his viewers enjoyed the video. Deciding to end it, Stampy then ends the episode with the line "But unfortunately, that is the end of this video. So, thanks for watching, and I will see you later. Byeee!
