"D'ya reckon about here? D'ya think this is high enough? I-I reckon this is high- I think any higher, then I'm just gonna start feeling sick and getting really scared, it's weird, like... even though it's just a video game, like... I'm a little bit scared up here, like...! I got a little bit of vertigo when I just look down, it's so, like, high, just the... the idea of any false step and I could very easily fall down." |
— Stampy when first building the tower for the first cloud on Raindrops. |
"Vertigo" is the 123rd episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy shows the final updates made to his town area due to the creation of his Tree Train, and then starts to build a raindrop-themed log flume ride dubbed "Raindrops".
Plot[]
Smothered in Vaseline & Tree Train complete[]
Stampy opens the episode, taking note of the Moon going down meaning the Sun rising, and that Stampy is ready for his breakfast. Stampy is greeted by L for Leeeee x, who Stampy almost believes is intending to make go on another diet, and he promptly gives and eats the cake actually intended for him. He proceeds to sarcastically advise his viewers on how to start a day in actuality by eating cake, sarcastically adding to not listen parents when they tell to eat fruit or cereal, and then states that he is joking and to eat vegetables. Stampy introduces FinnBa11 via the tube serving to direct the waterfall travelling through the middle of his house as "a very wet king", who is another YouTuber present within his videos prior, offering his viewers to check his videos out.
Entering the Love Garden, Stampy firstly verifies the presence of creepers due to seeing some before his waterfall, and then gives a shoutout to "Nuke ekun" because of a comment they wrote reading "Have you ever smothered yourself in vaseline and pretended to be a wiggly worm??" and Stampy had replied "Not yet...", as the comment had made him laugh due to being "random and ridiculous", and generally what he likes reading on his videos. Stampy thanks him for the comment, and welcomes him to the Love Garden, continuing by explaining the rules of the Love Garden in that it is a location of love, happiness, and "thank-ness", giving them a shoutout and adding their name to a sign, though not people who keep asking about being added as it eventually leads to repetition and the comment section being boring, liking comments such as the one he had just added, for example. At the doghouse, Stampy explains that he will build clouds in the sky, and finds Spring to be the one to enjoy it most, believing him to be the perfect dog for the episode.
Before leaving to where he has to go, however, Stampy firstly intends to show some things that L for Leeeee x have been doing, revealing that the path has been completely flattened. This is due to the minecart track being taken underground making the overground minecart track redundant and needing to be removed, explaining as he accidentally hits FinnBa11 and causes Spring to chase him. Stampy hopes to not get involved in another Aqua situation, as had occurred in the previous episode, as she apparently wandered somewhere, and hoping Spring doesn't do the same. Stampy decides to test if Spring has calmed down, only for him to immediately attack FinnBa11 upon standing him up, and then sit him down again once more after standing him up due to continuing to attack FinnBa11, stating that the rule that giving food calms them down seemingly does not apply. Stampy continues explaining that the minecart track being underground to serve as the Tree Train meant that the cobblestone hut allowed removal of the grey hut originally present there, meaning the entire area has been leveled out in order to allow more shops to be build, intending to eventually link up with the rest of the houses distantly. Additionally, Stampy journeys over to his emergency igloo to show another melon tree he has added, and due to the track leading to Stampy's Funland, he has added a track leading to the emergency igloo, which is the location of the spawn of his world. The original plan was to use a cobblestone hut and then ride in the distance only to switch minecarts and travel to his house, now allowing a melon tree to be the first thing seen upon spawning. Stampy shows the underground of said melon tree to show the next station as the same one as his house only smaller, allowing the player to obtain a minecart and travel over to the front of his house, which he considers to be handy in the event of spawning in the middle of the night.
Stampy also shows the top of the melon tree as he states they serve as viewing points, allowing a view of his world. Due to the distance, however, all that is visible from the top is his lighthouse. Stampy summarises the concept as being able to transport quickly between the world spawn to his house, and then notes a problem with the melon tree over by the spawn. This is due to it being in a snow-based area and mostly appearing as a palm tree, meaning it doesn't fit in, and to compensate for this, Stampy decides to set up a snow golem to wander around the tree and cover it in snow, as he is aiming for a form of "snow cover" created by the flat snow blocks produced by snow golems. The only way to create this is to create a snow golem and have it walk over everything, which he hopes he eventually does, and he eventually sets himself off to cover the tree. Stampy adds that he has also decided not to give the snow golem a name due to attachment and safety reasons due to the ambiguity being actually climbing down from the melon tree, potentially feeling bad if something had happened to him. Inspired by calling him "No-name", he eventually concludes that he should call the snow golem "Norman", or rather "No-name Norman", eventually coming up with the long-winded nickname of "Norman the No-named Snow Golem That's Called Norman".
Tree Train race & Raindrops ride plan[]
Climbing back down, Stampy decides he should ride over via minecart to his house so he can prepare for a game before riding to Stampy's Funland. As he is about to explain this in the station for the emergency igloo, Stampy finds FinnBa11 continuing to be attacked by Spring, deciding to sit him down and recommending FinnBa11 not to join him underground. Stampy explains that, due minecarts being as slow as they are, L for Leeeee x had the idea of it being quicker not to use the minecart and run instead, which Stampy doubts, and the plan is for the two of them to start at the house to have a race to reach Stampy's Funland the quickest, Stampy riding in the minecart while L for Leeeee x uses various methods besides to reach Stampy's Funland quickest to verify how worthy it is to use the minecart in the first place, which Stampy hopes that he wins in order to not make everything he has built redundant. Arriving at the main station, Stampy shows the two finished tunnels, one leading to Stampy's Funland on the left and the other leading to the emergency igloo where he just was.
Before starting the race, Stampy verifies L for Leeeee x's position above him, and evidently finds him to be present directly above him, only allowing him to set off on his count and that the first to touch The Pretty Duck Fling is the winner. Stampy gives him a fake countdown by quickly and rapidly trying to give himself an advantage, and he is then proceeded by L for Leeeee x using a swiftness potion, which is allowed by technicality. Stampy finds he now needs to monitor his location, finding himself in the distance in front of him, cutting the corner of the Tree Train. Turning the corner, Stampy takes a gradual overtake, the variable to add difference being the ladder to climb up. Stampy eventually reaches the end, desperately climbing up the ladder to reach the top, only for L for Leeeee x to have touch The Pretty Duck Fling already. He states the race to be rather close, calling the race "fun", and then decides to show the third melon tree in Stampy's Funland, stating that he and L for Leeeee x had been busy building melon trees to mark each location. Stampy says that he loves the melon tree in particular as it serves to give an amazing view over Stampy's Funland, recalling that he said that he can't wait to look over Stampy's Funland and see multiple colourful buildings and games, now allowing him to do that. Stampy takes note of his helter skelter, his Fish Me A Dish, his Top Paw Assault Course, Flower Power, Shear Fun, Road Hog, Googlies Manor, the Creeper Coaster, and the dunking booth, surmising that there is a lot of content together, admiring the view.
Climbing down, Stampy says that he is bound to receive another appealing view over Stampy's Funland later, as he is planning to build a new mini-game in the form of a log flume, trying to come up with a method of making it exciting. Upon returning back down, Stampy sees L for Leeeee x climbing up to the melon tree via nerdpole, and to his surprise, he finds him giving the melon tree a face, as he though it looked like it had an afro due to its top branches with the branches sticking out to the sides serving as arms. With said face complete, Stampy decides he should keep the face, wondering if it ruins the melon tree or makes it look hilarious. Stampy decides himself that it looks funny, and then leaves his viewers to decide if they want to keep the face on melon tree.
Returning to his basic concept, Stampy explains that he is building a log flume of some sort, though it uses a drop mechanic instead of simply ramping downwards, and it will feature massive clouds. The clouds in question will allow the player to ride in a boat and drop down as though they are a raindrop, calling the ride "Raindrops". However, the player will be led to drop onto a big rainbow, intending to build one in a new blank area forward from where Stampy's Funland currently is. He summarises the basic idea in that the player starts on a cloud, and then end up on another cloud to be fired off of it, end up dropping through the sky and then land on a rainbow to slide down into a pool of water styled as a pot of gold, which he thinks should be awesome. Stampy decides he should start building it momentarily, only to be alerted by the Sun setting, leading him to shear a collection of sheep within a sheep pen only to decide against it due to his inventory capacity, having prepared the sheep to gather wool for the rainbow, which he will intend to build in a video in the future. Entering Shear Fun, Stampy calls for his helpers to sleep inside, crafting some beds in order to sleep within it. Additionally, as he will build high, in the event of dying from various causes, the player will respawn in Shear Fun so the Tree Train doesn't have to be reused in order to return back, intending to not have to use it to return back.
Starting to build the first cloud for Raindrops & the first test[]
Having slept, Stampy decides he should start to add a pool of water in the middle area, creating a large pit with the intention of filling it with water and then digging it one down to create a two-block deep hole in order to prevent fall damage from any height, finding some water from the lake and releasing it into the pit that has been dug, then needing to create an infinite water source in order to fill it up. Stampy tells L for Leeeee x that the pit can't be dug down by two as he is currently doing it as it is now due to the water needing to be on the layer above to prevent the water from being at the very bottom, meaning that water has to be placed on top to then dig down afterwards, making it the basic landing area, deciding that the landing pit should be as big as possible to allow survival. Stampy notes that he had to rid the area of iBallisticSquid's house of which was present there previously, due to it being an obstruction, apologising to iBallisticSquid in case he is watching the episode, having taken his belongs to his new house.
Having dug the basic pit, Stampy creates an infinite water source in order to fill the pit with water, advising his viewers to not gather it too quickly. Telling L for Leeeee x to continue filling the water in and dig, Stampy decides he sjhould start building to the top and create the clouds, noting the single annoyance of the ride in that it will be annoying to get up to the top every time, and to compensate for this, he will build a water elevator, having done one before that went at least 20 blocks high, and exaggerating the one he is currently building as "200", though he thinks that having to build a ladder all of the way to the top would lead to boredom, as the ride would be fun and yet not worth climbing all the way up for. Stampy intends to have the ladder extend up high, due to TU12 allowing a 256-block height limit, intending to build far up the original rendered clouds to build his fake clouds. Stampy explains that he was previously considering adding rain clouds in some form, considering using gray wool to serve as rain clouds in question, dismissing the idea due to positive rain seeming like a better idea to him. Still building up, Stampy finds the benefits of the height he is currently at, having never seen Stampy's Funland at the height that he currently is, thinking that the view looks amazing from his perspective. Additionally, when falling via boat, the player falls slowly, allowing them to have a view over the world. Still building up once again, Stampy questions his current height, presuming himself to be close to the limit as he is, not wanting to go over the limit.
At the end of a nerdpole of 144 blocks, Stampy decides that he is high enough, and that if he was any higher, he would start to grow scared. He remarks on the height as "weird" and that he feels scared in spite of being a video game, getting vertigo from the height and the idea of any false step potentially leading him to death by fall damage. After building up the nerdpole of dirt, Stampy starts building the cloud with extreme reluctance and, potentially, tenacity, explaining the basic method he has intended for is making the main cloud first by creating a pool of water to ride off into the lower cloud, intending to build the main mechanical elements first, and then build around it to make it appear more like a cloud, meaning it may look like a block in the sky at first, intending for his two other helpers to make the cloud appear more like a cloud, which he speculates is everyone's dream in the form of running and jumping along a set of clouds and intending to fulfill it. Stampy terrifyingly comments on how he dislikes building from the height that he is, as he is only able to see the massive drop in the background of his work, then taking note of the ground with his helpers down below, remarking them to be "little ants" from where he is. Jokingly, Stampy offers them porkchops to serve as their dinner from the height that he is at, saying that he doesn't want them to get hungry. As he continues to build the cloud, Stampy notes the pool of water, which was once massive before he climbed up the height that he is, wondering if he could land in it.
Stampy describes the process of the ride again in that the player will ride up onto the cloud in a massive water elevator, which he will build out of glass to prevent it from taking up a large amount of area. He realises that he should make the water elevator connect to the cloud so that it fires out the player upon reaching the top so they then travel off the edge, which he considers to be awesome. However, he doesn't desire to also have the player fire off of the first cloud too quickly as there will be another lower down, although he realises he can instead use a single cloud to compensate for this, but decides to stay on the idea of landing on another cloud to speed up.
Stampy then starts adding the water, planning to expand out the general internal container of the cloud by four, as the water elevators are an even number and the player will end up in the middle, as a stream of water that is an even number leads to potentially being stuck on walls, intending to expand it to the width that he has to give room. He continues trying to gauge the basic size of the cloud, and then starts to build up the walls on both sides for the stream of water to be in the middle of it. Stampy then sees L for Leeeee x's gamertag through the cloud from underneath, telling him to be careful. From their distance apart from one another, Stampy jokingly asks the L for Leeeee x just below him if he would like more porkchops and proceeds to throw them for him to catch them, eventually succeeding at just that and joking about it before continuing to build the cloud, finishing off the container.
Stampy crafts a crafting table to craft some signs in order to prevent the water on the cloud from going back on the water elevator, scrolling between the ideas of signs, pressure plates, or ladders, suddenly alerted by a death message about L for Leeeee x dying from fall damage, wondering if he had attempted a jump from his nerdpole to the cloud and failed, establishing the reason for why he had everyone sleep close to the building site to set their spawn. Stampy positions two signs in the thin gap leading into the cloud, and then creates an infinite water source to fill the water in. Seeing L for Leeeee x as the example, Stampy states that he is scared to fall and suffer the same fate as him. Finishing the water source, Stampy states that he came prepared with all of his materials to prevent himself from traveling all the way up and down from the height that he is at, and then adds the water with the intention of eventually pushing the player off the edge, repeating that the water stream will lead the player to land onto the second cloud, and the second cloud onto the top of the rainbow as a slide. Stampy decides he should attempt to ride the water stream down to where the water pit below is, and then crafts some extra signs with the intention of allowing it to speed up the boat, created by blocking off the signs with water and then placing water down in front of them in order to accelerate with the water to the edge.
Stampy proceeds to fill the water of the cloud in, and then crafts a boat to have his first test, warning everyone that he may die. L for Leeeee x having joined him again, Stampy offers him to join in, and he proceeds to precisely jump across to the cloud model Stampy built successfully, offering him to make a boat for himself so he can enter after him. His boat immediately breaks, leading Stampy to need to craft multiple spare boats, and he then places his boat down and enters into it to slide off the cloud, at the rapid speed he had predicted, remarking on the water sliding off of his boat as he falls. Stampy realises that he has overshot the water pit, and attempts to direct himself over to it, only to catch himself on the edge of the water pit and die from fall damage. Respawning in Shear Fun, Stampy remarks that he was "close" and considers having jumped out of the boat earlier than he did, and then tells L for Leeeee x to follow behind him, advising not to travel off too quickly to not lead himself to overshoot as well as commenting on the long water flow traveling down from the cloud. Stampy then sees L for Leeeee x fly off the fake cloud, instead simply jumping and inevitably falling onto the ground and dying from fall damage. Stampy remarks the first test of Raindrops wasn't successful, and will be more likely to be successful upon building the rainbow. He describes the situation as "jolly good fun", and then explains that he will build the rainbow as well as finish the clouds in the next episode, stating that he hopes his viewers enjoyed the video, offering them to a link in the description to next episode in case they wish to continue watching, and then ends the episode with the line "But that's the end of this video. I wanna thank you very much for watching... and, I will see later. Byeeeee!"
