"...but seeing as, I am a very fancy cat [laughs], I thought I was gonna do a, uh, a fancy reset mechanism as well." |
— Stampy describing his motive for adding a reset mechanism to Gold Grab. |
"Pushy Pirates" is the 208th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and L for Leeeee x finish building Gold Grab, and then he hosts a test round.
Plot[]
The fifth round of the fishing rod-based pressure plate-target mini-game & another peculiarity[]
Stampy opens the episode, rapidly introducing Ester, and L for Leeeee x, who unexpectedly greets him via the balcony door on his left as he looks over at the painting, wondering where he had came from. Deciding to restart for the sake of tradition, Stampy reintroduces L for Leeeee x as expected, commenting on his hollering as he celebrates. In order to verify if L for Leeeee x is in a good mood, Stampy tells him to turn into a statue, which he follows with by standing still, though he notices the default movement of the player arms moving while doing so, deciding to set up a plinth for him with stone by standing on top, which he demonstrates to L for Leeeee x and L for Leeeee x copies, additionally telling his viewers to do the same so people don't have an idea of who they are, Remarking that pretending to be a statue is fun, Stampy follows on by saying that eating cake is more fun than such, deciding to combine a cake with a carrot.
Moving onto the balcony mini-game, Stampy decrees the mini-game the "Fishing Rod Game", explaining the basic rule of the mini-game in that players fling a fishing rod in order for it to land on one of the pressure plates, which he demonstrates as a test. Offering L for Leeeee x the first attempt while advising him not to catch Ester on the hook, he sees him targeting the yellow pressure plate, only to end up falling too short, an action of which he seemingly repeats. With his own attempt, Stampy decides to target the orange pressure plate instead by using the wall of the hill behind it, only to end up causing the fence of his fishing rod line to collide and block it, being allowed a second attempt and ending up catching it on the ledge instead, being determined to catch the orange pressure plate in the next episode.
Visiting the Love Garden, Stampy states that he intends to finish building Gold Grab in Stampy's Funland, which he was building in the previous episode, reminding his viewers that they can't ask to be added to it, though not after accidentally saying that they aren't allowed to be added after melding his thoughts together by accident, giving a shoutout to "Reece Turner" for a picture of himself with a Stampy balloon figure of great detail, including a custom Stampy shirt and face paint, thinking it to look amazing. After, Stampy then dismisses the virtue of taking the dogs with him, interrupted by L for Leeeee x having issues with the doorways behind him and joking about it afterwards, comparing him to cRz Choo Choo x. Continuing, Stampy states that the dogs get frustrated and continue to growl, along with attacking L for Leeeee x, deciding to take Mittens with him. However, upon meeting with the Kitty Cat Condo to climb onto it, Stampy finds a mysterious dog on the very top of the structure, to his confusion, deciding to investigate the issue, though not before taking Mittens. Climbing onto the top of the Kitty Cat Condo, Stampy sees that the dog is Duncan, something he realises should have been his first assumption due to where the dog landed, wondering why he is on top of the tree. Standing him up, he instructs Duncan to be careful due to not being a cat, and then he proceeds to jump into the water.
Filling in the ceiling for & leading rails up into the ceiling Gold Grab[]
Sprinting over to Stampy's Funland, Stampy finds that he has received mail in the Flap Postal Service, wondering who it originated from, and upon taking entry, he finds pumpkin pie in association with the letter in question. Reading the letter itself, Stampy finds the letter to read:
"To Stampy,
Thank you for building me my hangout, you need to come back soon for another party<br>
Harrison"
Endeared by the letter, Stampy stores it with the rest of the letters, as well as the pumpkin pie, additionally finding that L for Leeeee x currently lacks letters in all forms, deciding he should send him one, unless one of his viewers wish to send him a letter, giving a joke address of "The Flap Postal Service, Lovely World", after which he sprints over to Stampy's Funland. On his way, he explains the general concept of Gold Grab in that on a minecart track with various level switches, players push around a minecart with a chest with valuables, which he will eventually fill with gold, and the players have to insert it into one of the holes on one of the sides of the mini-game to be the pirate to take the treasure, having built the mini-game to be playable in the previous episode, deciding to add a mechanism to reset the mini-game, meaning that he will have to add in redstone, mostly in the form of minecart tracks, advising his viewers that the redstone itself is not a necessary in building and playing the mini-game.
Arriving at Gold Grab, Stampy shows the finished treasure chest model, showing the lid to have been expanded, being the only modification made to the exterior besides a sign reading "Gold Grab", showing the interior and demonstrating the process of pushing around the minecart, only requiring the minecart to travel up and into the ceiling for the reset process. To start, Stampy decides to build a roof to serve as the floor for the redstone on the fifth block upwards, to allow room for players to jump onto the raised sections of of the track, planning to demonstrate the redstone after filling in the ceiling. Stampy decides to give L for Leeeeee x spruce wood planks to assist him, deciding to build on the opposite side of the ceiling as it currently is in order to join the ceiling up together, remarking that he likes the mini-game due to it being small, allowing it to be easy to make significant changes, additionally having finished the mini-game generally in the previous episode, intending to complete the mini-game in the current episode and invite friends in the proceeding episode for a test.
Completing the ceiling, Stampy starts to ramp the minecart up behind the wall, directing it into the vacant area in the ceiling and directing the minecart rails upwards, only to fail due to turning and ramping simultaneously. Stampy decides to lower the point in which the minecart stops at instead, allowing the minecart to travel up, using power rails upwards and then turning the rail into the wall, only to realise that the ceiling has to be lowered down by one to fit in the rails. Correcting the ceiling by adding the layer in the correct location, though not before opening a hole in the middle for the minecart to drop into the middle of the room again, a system of which is triggered by a button.
Lowering the ceiling and setting up torches, Stampy continues the minecart rail up to the ceiling on a platform of spruce wood to the middle, which he finds again due to it being filled in again, showing how the reset system works in that the track travels downward on a power rail so the minecart will stop due to there being a disabled power rail, including a block to halt it at the end of the route. With L for Leeeee x copying the track going upwards, Stampy copies the same idea of halting the minecart with a disabled power rail and halting it fully via a block in front of it, only needing to add the buttons to activate the redstone. Deciding to position the buttons above the hole for the minecart, Stampy crafts a crafting table as he sees Mittens exploring in a way, using it to craft stone buttons to place above the intended areas of the room. With the buttons added, Stampy locates the button itself, and then links redstone up to the power rail, copying the process on the opposite button, hoping it to complete the mechanism, which it does. Pushing the minecart in, Stampy verifies and corrects the speed for the minecart to be able to travel upwards fully, and then, as a final addition, sets down detector rails to trigger power rails in the entry holes for the blue half, testing the minecart again. Testing the reset system afterwards, copying the entry system, and testing the mini-game, though not before removing the animals from the interior of the mini-game, encountering another zombie villager and being unable to cure it in the Caring Cat Clinic.
A test round of the completed Gold Grab[]
Sitting down Duncan and Mittens in the base for Cat And Mice, Stampy returns into the mini-game to test the minecart, adding power rails on the very top of the slope leading to the very top, allowing it to eventually stop in its intended position. With the minecart where it's intended to be, and with the minecart rail leading to the ceiling completed, relatively, Stampy declares that he and L for Leeeee x have a test round. Realising that the minecart with a chest has to be filled with treasure, Stampy searches the chest to find that L for Leeeee x has filled it with a variety of gold ingots, ender pearls and cakes, the first latter being in four and the second latter being in three, offering the prize of the cakes to himself upon winning the round and L for Leeeee x having the rest of the stocks. Assigning himself to the blue team and L for Leeeee x to the white team, Stampy gives a countdown and sets off the test round.
Immediately, L for Leeee x manages to push the minecart over to the white half of the treasure chest, determined to win due to winning in the previous episode, Stampy eventually being able to push it to his own side only to fail and have the minecart be pushed to the white half. Having to block off the minecart by force, Stampy distracts L for Leeeee x, allowing him to push the minecart over to the blue half, L for Leeeee x then countering one another over and over again until Stampy manages to take hold of the minecart again, L for Leeeee x blocking like he did to him. The minecart stops on the blue half, eventually traveling over to the white half. However, after a long time of L for Leeeee x blocking the minecart on the final section of the course, Stampy eventually wins, calling the mini-game "intense".
Having won the mini-game, Stampy resets the mini-game in order to retrieve the cakes as he gloats to L for Leeeee x, prompting him to destroy the minecart and its belongings and to have a miniature rampage as Stampy assures him that they were only playing a mini-game, Stampy deciding to give him the cakes instead. Stampy then deems the end of the episode, explaining that he will play another round, intending to play other mini-games within Stampy's Funland after doing so, and then ending the episode with the line "Anyway, sadly, that is the end of this video here, I wanna thank you all very much for watching, and I will see you all later. Byeeeeeee!"
