"Eh, it kind of looks like a pot of honey, doesn't it, rather than, uh, a pot of gold. I might have to put up a sign on it saying it's gold just so you know. [laughs]" |
— Stampy noticing how the design for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for Raindrops appears as a pot of honey. |
"Pot Of Gold" is the 126th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy builds a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for Raindrops.
Plot[]
Stampy will see this comment & a rainbow race[]
Stampy opens the episode, laughing at emm 2 appearing through the right door of his bedroom as he enters through his balcony and introducing her immediately after due to it, telling her that she is allowed to enter, as well as L for Leeeee x, whom he describes as "everybody's favourite big brown bear", following it up with "everybody's favourite big tasty breakfast", intending to say "dessert" instead. Leaving his bedroom, Stampy explains that he will head to Stampy's Funland to build a pot of gold, though before doing so, he visits his Love Garden to give a shoutout to "Bamthisismyaccount", reading "I AM CASTING A SPELL ON THIS COMMENT~ <3 &Add a dash of orange wool, a few petals from a lovely jubbly love love flower, a few whiskers here, a dash of bad puns, the tears of dogs, and a slice of cake* BOOK~ This comment will now be seen by Mr. Stampy Cat~" Inevitably, he had read the comment and it had made him laugh, leading him to decide to add "Bamthisismyaccount" to the Love Garden.
Next, as he visits his doghouse, Stampy explains that he will set off to Stampy's Funland via a race with L for Leeeee x, as the two of them have started a tradition of racing to it, forming a new method by L for Leeeee x instead traveling via boat, the first person touching the rainbow being the winner. After deciding to pick Duncan, who he characterises as having a dark patch on his back, and then asks L for Leeeee x if he has readied a boat for the race, continuing that he feels confident about the race itself as he believes boats to be somewhat slower.
At the entrance of the first Tree Train station, Stampy tells himself and L for Leeeee x to start where they are standing, telling him that the two of them go in their assigned mode of transport upon a countdown from three. Giving said countdown, Stampy has decided to play fairly, and then takes entry into his minecart to set himself off, telling Duncan to stay behind him. Upon setting off, Stampy realises that the minecart is going considerably slowly, pointing out that an update will allow their speed to be increased, hoping that TU13 should allow the races he takes against L for Leeeee x to act more in his favour. Checking for L for Leeeeee x's position, Stampy is only able to see emm 2's general location, noting her as the red gamertag, stating that he hasn't got a particular judgment of where L for Leeeee x currently is. Stampy states that he believes the race to be rather close due to needing to run to the rainbow, taking it as his chance to catch up. Finishing the route, Stampy climbs up to see emm 2 having overtaken him, noting that she had managed to exceed past him despite running only.
At Stampy's Funland, Stampy wonders if he can take over emm 2, regretting not taking a swiftness potion with him, and then passes by her due to emm 2 getting herself stuck partway through the path to reach the rainbow. Due to emm 2 being of no concern, Stampy wonders where L for Leeeee x is, only to find him at the rainbow already long before Stampy is able to do so himself. He decides to touch the rainbow anyway, and then deems L for Leeeee x the winner, and apathetically gives him a porkchop as his prize. Having arrived at Raindrops, Stampy tallies the score of each race and adds up that L for Leeeee x and Stampy alternate between winning and losing each race, deducing that he may win the fourth race in case of the pattern. Though L for Leeeee x disagrees with this, Stampy is adamant on this being how the pattern works.
At Raindrops, Stampy shows the complete rainbow made in the previous episode, having added torches to it, as well as making sure the player lands directly on the rainbow, as he tried to ride the rainbow and fell short, dying, having decided to compensate for this by increasing the speed of the boat upon being released from the top, allowing the player to land on the rainbow. On the end of the rainbow, Stampy intends to build a pot of gold, with the gold being yellow wool due to not having real gold, having moved over his sheep pen and dyed the sheep black and yellow, meaning that he now has to build the pot of gold, planning to complete it by the end of the episode in order to have the first official ride on Raindrops, which he had intended to do in the previous episode, only for it to fail.
Building a pot & adding gold for a pot of gold for Raindrops[]
Stampy starts building the pot of gold by adding the underneath area, comparing it to when he built his fish tank for the dunking booth, intending for it to be somewhat similar in style. However, he doesn't want the pot to be too big in order to allow the player to actually land inside of the pot of gold as he intends to, in accordance with how far the boat has to fire off of the model cloud. Placing a block incorrectly, Stampy accidentally attacks emm 2 in his attempt to break it, leading Duncan to attack her, requiring Duncan to sit him down and feed him, returning back to the pot of gold after doing so as he comments on the inconvenience of trying to build or destroy and people are running around spontaneously. Stampy starts molding the pot of gold from the bottom up, starting to edge outwards as he builds it in the form of 6x6, which he accepts to be as big as it can be, after which he starts building up the sides with the intention of modeling it to go up and out.
As he starts to build up the sides of the pot of gold, Stampy says that the pot of gold has to be filled with yellow wool to represent the gold itself, expecting the player's boat to break upon landing so the player doesn't have to leave it behind. Underneath, Stampy hears Duncan continuing to growl, advising emm 2 to remain inside of the pot of gold, realising she may simply be stuck. Having built up a 6x6 shape on top at four blocks high, Stampy wonders if it's too small, but accepts how it is anyway. Agreeing with the height, Stampy expands the top block out to serve as a rim, expecting he water to travel straight into the pot of gold, as well as finding what happens when the water traveling down the rainbow slide is blocked off by said rim. He questions how valid the pot of gold will look as a pot of gold, deciding anyway that what he is building should look okay anyway, considering also removing the corners to round out the shape.
With all Stampy needing to do so far being to fill the pot of gold with water, Stampy adds a layer of yellow wool one block below, telling L for Leeeee x to gather water buckets in order to fill in the middle of the pot, afterwards being able to remove the wool from underneath to then build it a layer lower as the water should stay as it is. Seeing L for Leeeee x continuing to build the pot of gold up, Stampy tells L for Leeeee x to simply place down the water buckets, and then gathers some water buckets from the supplies chest. While doing so, he sees emm 2 continuing to be chased by Duncan, telling her to run and Duncan to sit down and behave. He assures Duncan that she is friendly, wondering if the behaviour is caused by porkchops, and then proceeds to return back to the top of his pot of gold. Stampy once again tells L for Leeeee x to simply position the buckets of water again, and then uses dirt to nerdpole up back onto the pot of gold in order to finish the water. Reaching the top of the pot of gold, Stampy realises L for Leeeee x was actually creating an infinite water source on the pot of gold, sarcastically describing the method as "eloquent", and then proceeds to fill in the water before removing the infinite source, intending to play the first official ride of Raindrops afterwards, his only remaining priority being to then add an entrance, as he desires for a fancier method of beginning the ride, which he will attempt to build after the pot of gold.
Filling in the actual gold of the pot of gold for & testing the final design idea for Raindrops[]
With the water filled in, Stampy removes the yellow wool in order to lower it down by one deeper, and then replaces it a layer lower, the texture of the yellow wool leading him to believe that it appears as honey and thinking he should add a sign to indicate the material inside of the pot is indeed gold. With the gold in the water, Stampy decides he should randomise blocks of gold around the top, potentially also a staircase to serve as an exit from the pot of gold. With this idea in mind, he starts to spread out gold on top of the pot to represent the pot as overflowing, and then trails it down the side of the pot, in order to fully serve as a staircase. Stampy also removes the corners from the middle of the pot to make it appear more rounded rather than as a blob of some sort, and upon removing the corners, Stampy decides the pot of gold looks overall okay, concerning the speed it took for him to build it. Due to it turning to night, Stampy recommends he and his helpers sleep in Shear Fun so that the three of them can play Raindrops in its complete form. He spreads extra gold around the pot, and then affirms the pot's warranty of allowing a player to survive the fall from above by expanding out the main upper area of the pot out by one to give extra landing space, since he has died during his previous attempts to ride on Raindrops. Stampy wonders if what he has built is acceptable how it is, and adds the final detail of the pot of gold, accepting it as long as it allows the ability to survive the fall above. Repeating his recommendation to sleep to his helpers, Stampy also verifies if he has the time to build the ride's entrance. Refining the general shape of the pot again, Stampy sees emm 2 continuing to tease Duncan like she had been before, and then jokingly sends Duncan to attack her, assuring that he is playing a joke as he sits him down again and then entering into Shear Fun himself. Reaching his bed, Stampy crafts some boats to prevent a needless return loop.
With the game reset to day, Stampy decides he should take the time while rising up to think about his plans for the entrance, and then sees a structure underneath the rainbow, accompanied by a sign reading "Check out Minecraft FPS on youtube!", of whom he is unsure of the identity of. Stampy positions his boat at the beginning of the water elevator and starts to rise up, explaining that he modified it so that, during the rise, the player doesn't have to press anything, hoping to be able to land in the middle of the rainbow, though he is aware that the previous time he attempted to land somewhere without moving, he overshot his target, meaning he is prepared to alter his decision on the water elevator in case it doesn't work. While rising up, he also takes note of how the water from his ocean below in that water can't be seen through the glass with water already in front, something Stampy remarks to make the world look "weird". Still rising, Stampy contemplates possibly using a rainbow as an entrance in the form of a water tunnel that the player then turns to in order to ride up the water elevator, as positioning the boat and entering the elevator is usually an awkward process and will plan to make it as easy possible to enter into.
Reaching the top itself, Stampy takes preparation to drop down as he sees the fake cloud above him, expecting the boat to land onto the second cloud, and then onto the rainbow and into the pot of gold, of which he manages to do successfully and as planned, additionally breaking his boat as stated. Stampy remarks his experience as "awesome", seeing L for Leeeee x having followed behind him, expecting emm 2 to have also followed behind. Having completed the ride successfully, Stampy then jumps down to the floor via the gold trail staircase, and deems the Raindrops ride as it is nearly complete, seeing a death message about emm 2 about her dying from fall damage. Stampy desires he should have a second attempt, challenging his helpers on who can land in the pot of gold, crafting some extra boats. He explains the basic rule for this in that his helpers have to skip the rainbow, leading themselves directly into the pot of gold.
L for Leeeee x and Stampy traveling in order together, the two of them rise up the water elevator together, and then repeats the basic idea for the challenge. Eating some porkchops, Stampy decides he should instead worry about the ride's entrance outside of a video, and then proceeds to admire the time taken to build the pot of gold as well as check for if emm 2 is following. Regardless, he thinks it would be cool if she was, as there would be three people in total following up the water elevator, him even expressing the admirable appearance of eight people at least dropping down, due to now reminiscent of an actual set of raindrops it is. Nearly at the top of the fake cloud again, Stampy states that he is worried he may land on his head, and notices himself to have reached directly behind L for Leeeeee x. Once on the fake cloud itself, the two of them glide down and end up dying in the exact same spot in their attempt to land in the pot of gold.
Respawning, Stampy notes that they were both close to landing, and then warns L for Leeeee x to gather their inventory contents before despawn. He approaches the pot of gold in order to verify if she will land under the impression that she had joined them, only to realise there isn't a method to climb up the pot of gold. Stampy wonders if emm 2 is still coming down, only to find her having not done so. Regardless, he is appealed by having his boots returned, and then sees a stray boat having landed in the pot of gold, wondering to himself if he would be able to land in the pot of gold himself on another attempt as he was close to landing inside, though he still considers the experience "awesome fun". Stampy then announces that he has run out of time, stating that he will build a new shop in his next video, which he will intend to make his most ambitious yet, and then ends the episode with the line "Uh, so yeah, hopefully you enjoyed this. Uhh, big thank you to L for Lee and emm for helping me build my pot o' gold, and I'll see you guys, in the next epsiode. Byeeee!"
