"In my 200th episode, what I'm gonna do is fly over my entire world from the skies in a hot air balloon, uh, but to do that, I, of course... need to have a hot air balloon, and I don't have one yet." |
— Stampy explaining his intention to ride in a hot air balloon for his 200th episode and planning to build one in the present episode. |
"Hot Air Balloon" is the 199th episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy and L for Leeeee x build a hot air balloon for him to fly around in his 200th episode.
Plot[]
The tenth round of the egg-projectile painting-target mini-game[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing Ester, as well as L for Leeeee x, turning around to have found him already emerged from the painting. He proposes that L for Leeeee x runs backwards in his bedroom if he is in a good mood, which he does promptly upon request, deciding to follow along himself. He remarks that his current moment is exciting as he lists the current episode number as "199", nearly to 200, deciding to celebrate with a cake given to him by L for Leeeeee x, assuring him that he has an apple to eat, sarcastically assuring it to be a superior food for him to eat and urging him to do so, with L for Leeeee x rejecting in great desperation, leading Stampy to offer simply eating a cake as well. Hearing an egg be laid on the balcony by Ester, Stampy offers him to take it for the balcony mini-game involving throwing eggs at paintings, only having the purple painting remaining on the hill, remarking that he and L for Leeeee x took too long to remove the paintings. With him making the first attempt, L for Leeeee x decides to firstly spin around as per tradition, only for him to miss as it always does, telling him that he is unable to have a second attempt as he sees him take a second egg. Stampy making his own attempt, he fails in addition despite precision, ending up too short, proposing that the target will be hit in the 200th episode itself.
Visiting the Love Garden, Stampy explains its basic concept in that he adds someone's name to a sign to thank them for something, giving a shoutout to "Ella" for a picture of Stampy-related materials that she owns created by her grandmother, and then decides to visit the doghouse to pick one to join him for the episode, as he is deciding to build a hot air balloon, as he intends to fly over his world in a hot air balloon in the 200th episode, intending to build it completely. Deciding to take Sherbet with him, he characterises him as having a shiny coat and hanging underneath a torch to have his fur glisten.
A lot of distraction & a hot air balloon basket[]
Leaving the doghouse, Stampy points to the distant building location in that it will be near his rocket ship, following L for Leeeee x through his farm to visit the area and finding him in the sugar cane crops, commending his hiding ability. On his way over, passing by his animal farm, Stampy notes a pig jumping up abruptly and greeting it as it positions itself in front of the fence, a secondary pig long behind. Responding to the gesture, he decides to give it wheat, along with the second pig in order to breed them. However, he recalls that he is unable to give them wheat, taking carrots from his farm, deciding to simply be affable to his animals on his way over.
However, interrupting this tangent, Stampy decides to also show the final design of Fred's bedroom on top of the crafting room, seeing Fred himself actually present and showing the final additions, including signs labeling his favourite blocks and a rose for his favourite person, as well as the presence of his long bed. As a final addition to the bedroom itself, Stampy decides to also craft an ender chest, gathering nine pieces of obsidian and an eye of ender, crafting blaze powder for an ender pearl, eventually crafting an ender chest and setting it up next to Fred's bedroom. Deciding to leave him alone, Stampy recalls his initial tangent of feeding the pigs, breeding then and creating a baby pig.
Eventually starting with the process of building a hot air balloon, Stampy shows the general space it will take up, showing an end plot of land next to the rocket ship, intending to use the traditional colours of orange and white with primarily orange invoking a white stripe. However, before starting the balloon element itself, a basket has to be created first, crafting oak wood planks and oak wood stairs to give it a rounded shape, with the stairs being required to be upside-down. For the first row of stairs positioned upside-down, Stampy places a row of three to start, copying the design on each side in a square-like formation, creating the very floor of the basket. Extending upwards, Stampy wraps around a barrier for the basket, though not while accidentally hitting Sherbet and needing to feed him again. With the general basket shape complete, Stampy crafts trapdoors, setting them up on the sides of each edge, intending for extra stairs to be added as a detail on the interior of the basket.
After setting up the basic basket shape, Stampy eats a carrot, which he thinks to taste appealing, and sets the area up with torches due to turning to nighttime while L for Leeeee x adds fences to serve as ropes, adding ladders on the front and back of the hot air balloon to enter inside of it. As an additional detail to the hot air balloon, Stampy adds glowstone to the direct middle of the floor of the basket, as well as the stair details on the interior of the basket. During the process of breaking away the basket to add these, however, he ends up colliding with Sherbet and attacking him accidentally again, instructing L for Leeeee x to feed him again. Guilty, Stampy apologises to Sherbet for attacking him, and then sets up stairs on the middle edge facing inwards, along with stairs on the left and right side to face inwards as well, finalising the interior of the basket. L for Leeeee x additionally includes a furnace to create fuel for the hot air balloon, which Stampy decides to correct by placing it in the middle section of the supports above the basket, with the furnace intending to create heat and allow the hot air balloon to rise through the balloon. As an absolute final detail to the basket, Stampy also repeats the pattern of fences on the back and front on the left and right for extra support in order to then start on the balloon element itself. Regarding his progress, Stampy considers himself to have made aplenty in spite of his distraction during the introduction.
Creating a balloon for a hot air balloon[]
Now starting on the hot air balloon's balloon element, with L for Leeeee x's template, he starts by describing that they are a "weird shape", meaning that he has to work it out. To start, he decides to go out and up, remarking that he typically starts building and changing a shape and improving it. Starting the first layer up and out, Stampy decides to add a second layer to what is already present, then copying the same pattern, wondering if he is making sense, being able to detail the white strip on the third extension upwards. Due to his constant abuse throughout the abuse, Stampy proposes a surprise for Sherbet of some form by the end of the episode, deciding he should take a walk, due to never doing so regularly, though it is a good experience for owner and pet. Eventually expanding upwards by two with a rounded shape up to three layers, he remarks that it is difficult to judge the shaep due to his perspective, thinking it to looking appealing from the ground.
While building the white stripe of the hot air balloon, Stampy ends up interrupted by Sherbet's sudden appearance, requiring him to precisely push him into the hot air balloon in a docile state. With two layers of the white strip in the middle complete, Stampy then adds another layer of two for the orange base of the balloon, and then starts to peak the balloon to the top, setting down a torch. He remarks that he is in excess of the same orange and white colours around his world, though he still appreciates his colours, additionally stating that there is a flag that he had set down on the Moon in his own colours, meaning that he is dominating with his colour motif. Continuing to build up to a peak, Stampy states that he is eager to fly over his world in genuineness, as he has never shown his world beyond the point that he has been present in, deciding to show off parts of his world that have been unseen prior.
Eventually peaking the hot air balloon, and rounding the top area off, Stampy states that he is surprised by the speed of completion. However, before deeming the hot air balloon complete, Stampy recalls that he has to take Sherbet out of the hot air balloon, both himself and L for Leeeee x drop into the hot air balloon, the latter filling in the top after Stampy failed to do so himself. Eventually escaping from inside of the hot air balloon's balloon, Stampy fixes the hole created, and then runs away from the hot air balloon for Sherbet to teleport out. Eventually turning around to verify the hot air balloon's appearance, Stampy recognises it as miniature compared to what he had thought, though he decides it to look like a real hot air balloon, proposing possibly adding more details to it as he always does. Adding said details, Stampy decides to add a block under the middle bottom of each side of the balloon, stating that he appreciates the miniature size of the hot air balloon itself, additionally finding it convenient as he will fly over his entire world with himself solely.
Deeming the hot air balloon as complete, Stampy decides to test out the furnace itself, though not with an excess of fuel, adding in a single birch wood log and a single item of coal in the furnace, alighting the furnace as expected in order to rise the balloon up for a flyover of his world, intending to do so in the next episode. Deeming the end of the episode, Stampy then thanks L for Leeeee x, apologises to Sherbet for his abuse during the episode, with him facing away from him, confirming his decision to take him for a walk, and then ends the episode with the line "So thank you all very much for watching, and I will see you all later. Byeeeee!"
