"I wonder how many times I'm gonna say "flop" in this video." |
— Stampy after saying the aforementioned term referring to the name and goal of the mini-game twice in rapid succession. |
"Flop Tournament" is the 172nd episode of Stampy's Lovely World. In this episode, Stampy hosts a Flop tournament against L for Leeeee x, iBallisticSquid, and FearADubh.
Plot[]
The third round of the ender pearl mini-game[]
Stampy opens the episode, introducing L for Leeeee x and instead receiving a minecart, along with his tools and weapons, wondering if he is moving out in some manner of speaking. Due to seeing a cake, Stampy requests that L for Leeeee x gives it to him, and he decides to eat it, leaving one segment, which L for Leeeee x rejects. Stampy also states that he is being introduced by another set of people, firstly deciding to play the ender pearl mini-game, having set up a new mini-game where players have to land in the driver's seat of the F1 car, having managed closely in the previous episode and hoping for someone to eventually get inside. L for Leeeee x going first, Stampy sees him ending up far too short, calling him out for his lack of experience compared to before, and then makes his own first attempt, only to be joined by iBallisticSquid and FearADubh, whom he gives an ender pearl too as well, instructing them of the goal of the mini-game then throwing his own ender pearl, which ends up far forward of the F1 car instead. At the top, Stampy then calls down iBallisticSquid for his attempt, and he throws the ender pearl he has and ends up landing even further, to Stampy's surprise. Introducing FearADubh, Stampy tells his viewers to make him feel welcome due to never being in a Stampy's Lovely World episode prior.
However, Stampy firstly decides to visit his Love Garden to give a shoutout to "Jackson" for creating a pottery model of Stampy holding a sign saying "Mr. Stampy Cat", and then sees iBallisticSquid in the background doing parkour on the waterfall, not to Stampy's surprise, only for him to end up falling in the water below anyway, and then deciding to travel to Stampy's Funland to enact the first Flop tournament, describing it as his "fling and drop" mini-game, deciding on a 1v1 tournament and a 2v2 tournament at the end, visiting the doghouse to then take Benton with him, finding L for Leeeeee x in the dog pool, thinking him to be practicing for flinging in the mini-game itself, instructing him that practice is necessary due to being the only Flop tournament to be, and winning will be prestigious, having a set of prizes prepared.
Leaving the doghouse, Stampy sees iBallisticSquid and FearADubh climbing up the Kitty Cat Condo to presumably greet Mittens inside, only to find them actually desiring to jump off of the balcony at the back and into the water below, which he urges them to do, them then following along while also spinning in a twirl, a move of which he admires and rates highly. Entering the Tree Train, Stampy and L for Leeeee x accidentally collide with one another once again, causing them to be pushed all the way to the top and then return down in a sequence. On his way back down, he explains the rules of the tournament, intending for the winner to remain during a set of 1v1, with himself playing against another player and L for Leeeee x playing against another player, and the winner of both rounds then playing against one another in a final, and in regard to the amount of lives, the players have three equally, with five lives being used in the final to make it more dramatic, with prizes additionally depending on the place the player lands.
Flop - round one[]
Arriving at the station for Stampy's Funland, Stampy then climbs to the surface, intending to show the fully complete mini-game, finding iBallisticSquid and FearADubh by the mini-game already present, showing the changes he has made, including a boundary of nether brick fences, as well as signs, and ladders to reach the very top to see the mini-game's events in full, sitting Benton down in advance to prevent him from interfering with the pressure plate mechanisms. Seeing FearADubh going up into the mini-game already, Stampy decrees he firstly challenges against him, telling L for Leeeeee x to play against iBallisticSquid, and entering the mini-game himself, Stampy instructs him to assign himself to the blue side with a fishing rod equipped. Giving a countdown for him to drop down, Stampy then starts the mini-game.
Starting the first round, Stampy notes that his loss in the first round means he is out of the tournament overall, and he ends up dropping FearADubh first, leaving him at two lives, and immediately catching him out again, pitying him for playing the mini-game the first time, and then after some coordination manages to catch him out the third time by using the middle pistons, winning the first round. With his inexperience in mind, Stampy decides to alter the rules, deciding to give him two extra lives out of pity. Stampy notes a strategy for winning via using the middle as players always have to cross the middle to switch between each side, and he then manages to drop FearADubh down a fourth time from a distance using the left of the platform, remaining at one life afterwards. While giving him advice, Stampy ends up dropping FearADubh down anyway, with him losing the mini-game and apologising for it.
Setting up the second round, Stampy notes that the round will be L for Leeeee x against iBallisticSquid, telling FearADubh to join him on top of the mini-game to watch them both battle each other, finding a cake present on top and that L for Leeee x is on the red side with iBallisticSquid on the blue side.
Flop - second & third round[]
After a premature attempt by iBallisticSquid to knock his enemy down, Stampy then gives a countdown and starts the second round. Immediately, he manages to knock L for Leeeee x down anyway, telling them that the winner of the second round will be the one he will be up against in the third round, at which point iBallisticSquid then knock down L for Leeeee x a second time, which Stampy responds to by admiring his abilities in the mini-game, then led by the third time. The fourth time, iBallisticSquid manages to once again drop him down, and a fifth time, eliminating L for Leeeee x. Accounting for himself and iBallisticSquid winning 5-0 both, Stampy wonders what will happen between the two of them during the final round, immediately deciding to drop down into the main platform for the third and final round.
Due to dashing through the rounds so quickly, however, Stampy decides to pit L for Leeeee x and FearADubh against one another instead to determine third and fourth place, and then climbs up to watch over from the top, stating that he pities them due to being eliminated quickly and finding it interesting to see the winner out of the both of them. Quickly giving them a countdown, Stampy sets them off. Though delayed, L for Leeeee x ends up dropping FearADubh down the first time, him remaining with four lives, as Stampy notices L for Leeeee x ecstatic to have finally won against someone yet. After a close call on FearADubh's end, eventually, he ends up dropping L for Leeeee x down, thereby equaling them out at four lives, and then leading to him dropping L for Leeeee x down a second time, finding his experience showing as L for Leeee x is docked down to three lives by FearADubh, of whom is celebrating his sudden experience, which L for Leeeee x retaliates with by knocking him down and equaling them to three lives. While killing a nearby creeper, Stampy sees FearADubh being reduced to two lives, which he returns by dropping down L for Leeeee x, equaling them out to two lives. For the first life reduction, the two competitors nearly end up dropping each other down equally, FearADubh being the one to manage to remain on, determining L for Leeeee x to be the one remaining with his final life, Stampy motivating him to make it count, only to state that he isn't taking sides. Eventually, however, L for Leeeee x equals this out again by reducing FearADubh to one life, which ends up in him repeating this process and winning the battle against one another, leading him to third place and FearADubh in fourth place.
Flop - round four[]
The third and fourth place decider round complete, Stampy then decides to move onto the final round against himself and iBallisticSquid, seeing L for Leeeee x created a staircase out of the mini-game building to reach the top, which Stampy points out to him. calling for iBallisticSquid to be ready, Stampy then starts the final round. Conseuctively, Stampy manages to drop iBallisticSquid down twice, to his surprise, and eventually a third time, to his surprise, praising himself for managing to remain on the platform. However, iBallisticSquid's fishing rod eventually breaks, and Stampy requests another fishing rod to be given, with his own eventually breaking as well, though he had a spare fishing rod in hand. Stampy is eventually dropped down for the first time by iBallisticSquid, encountering a creeper as he walks behind the mini-game to return to the top, killing it immediately and then returning back up only to drop down by two.
iBallisticSquid remaining at two lives, Stampy then drops down iBallisticSquid in return, returning him to one life, meaning he will be eliminated if he drops down one more time and Stampy will win. However, Stampy manages to drop down instead, meaning that Stampy remains at two lives and iBallisticSquid remains at one life. Eventually, however, iBallisticSquid manages to lose anyway, leading Stampy to win in celebration, leaving as notices another creeper nearby the mini-game. Stampy commends his helpers for their efforts, believing the mini-game to be fun, and then offers a doubles game with himself and L for Leeeee x against iBallisticSquid and FearADubh, describing it as "sea creatures against land creatures", to test if the style of playing is actually fun, and instructs his helpers of an additional circumstance in that players are only allowed to drop once. Upon starting, FearADubh immediately drops down, followed by Stampy and L for Leeeee x, allowing iBallisticSquid and FearADubh to win.
With the main rounds complete, Stampy shows a podium themed to the mini-game that has been made, with first and second place being indicated by raised blocks of red and blue and third and fourth place being indicated by black wool planted within the floor. Stampy sets himself up in first place with FearADubh reluctantly accepting his fourth place position and L for Leeeee x refusing to switch to third place next to iBallisticSquid. Reminded, Stampy then decides to give his helpers their prizes, giving L for Leeeee x and FearADubh a raw fish, with iBallisticSquid being given an enchanted golden apple, and Stampy giving himself a cake, which he decides to share amongst everyone else, including cake peekaboo in the combination. Stampy then deems the end of the episode, stating that he hopes his viewers enjoyed seeing the first Flop tournament, having fun playing it, thanking his helpers for joining in, and then ending the episode with the line "And of course, also, a very big thank you to you, uh, for watching. But that's the end of this video here. I wanna thank you all very much, once again, for watching, and I will see you all later. Byeeeeee!"
